Sell your Art on Consignment |
Why should I sell My Art on Consignment.
Jamaicaart.com is in its fifth year of business and is a wholly
owned subsidiary of Island Art & Custom framing. Island Art & Custom
Framing is located in Ft Lauderdale, Florida which has been in business for
more than ten years. Hundreds of customers have done business with us and
a very high percentage are repeat customers. We treat all our customers with
respect, honesty and do our best to satisfy your needs. We have received numerous
requests from our customers to sell rare pieces of Art that they have had
for years and now want to sell.
Visitors per month
We have over 2500 unique visitors to our site each month who
view the selection of Art on our site.
Our search engine ranking is very high and when you search for Jamaican Art
or Caribbean Art you will usually find us on the first page. |
Fees and Listing your item
To list your Art on our site send us a jpeg image of your Art in a size of
600 pixels or greater in width. Include also the net price you expect to receive
for it. We charge 25% commission for listing and negotiating the sale of your
Art. example: If we sell your item for $100.00 we keep $25.00 and you get
$75.00..
This covers the cost to accept credit card payments, list your art on our
site, marketing costs to advertise and providing the confidence to our
shoppers to know they are working with a trusted company in business for more
than ten years. |
Shipping
When your item is sold and we have collected the funds we will authorize you
to ship the item, by delivery confirmation, and we will forward the funds
to you. For security measures we will advise you when we receive the funds
but will not release the funds to you until the purchaser acknowledges receipt.
All art must be shipped to the customer insured and with a carrier Fedex,
US post Office, UPS who can provide tracking information to show when item
delivered. At this time we will only sell consignment items in the
continental USA. |
Shipping Costs
For items to be shipped stretched and or framed we suggest you take
the item to a packaging store to get an estimate of shipping cost and
advise us.
For unframed originals or prints that can be shipped in a tube shipping cost
will be a flat $7.00 in the continental USA. |
Alternatively you can ship your Art to us and we will photograph it, list
on the web, advertise it, and take care of all shipping and handling. For
this service we charge 35% commission. |
